RETURNING MEMBERS

Welcome to Bruins Under 9's Development Program.

The Under 9’s Competition is designed to provide athletes who have had some basketball experience a pathway into competitive basketball. This program caters for young athletes, who are between the ages of 7 to 9, who are too young to enter into Bruins Junior Domestic Competition.

Our experienced coaches run our practice sessions and then referee/coach the games to ensure our players are both learning the rules and using the skills they have been practicing. We run 4 x U9’s Competitions each year, running in line with the School Terms. Children are placed in teams and a roster is sent out at the beginning of the term, with game times for the season, there will be weeks where your game is not at your normal specified time.

The classes run in accordance with school terms.

In 2025:-
Term 1: 12 February 2025 to 12 April 2025
Term 2: 30 April 2025 to 5 July 2025
Term 3: 23 July 2025 to 27 September 2025
Term 4: 15 October 2025 to 13 December 2025

Saturday Game Times:
9am to 10am
10am to 11am

We look forward to seeing you child on the court, as part of our Skills & Development Program. Please ensure they wear comfortable sports shoes, their Skills & Development reversible singlet, bring a clearly labelled drink bottle and basketball.
