2023 PRIMARY TEAM NOMINATION FORM

Welcome to the 2023 Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Primary Competitions.

This form is for PRIMARY TEAMS registration (school grades 1-6)
Cost: $80 (payable at end of this form)

SEASON 2 COMPETITION ENTRY (starting in July) will be open soon

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Team manager/contact (person completing this form) must be 18 or over.

Please select the competition to enter according to the grade your Team members are in at school. Single grade competitions are available to enter, if your Team members are in different grades at school you will need to enter the Team into the older grade competition.
for example: Team made up of players in grade 3 and grade 4 at school - will need to enter the grade 4 competition.
NOTE: The grade the player is in at school is considered their correct grade for competition regardless of the year they were born.
(For High school competitions use the Junior Team nomination form)

If you do not see the competition you wish to enter, it may mean it is already full. email info@hkbaspiders.com.au to express your interest in the waiting list.

Team Players:
Teams require a minimum of 6 players to be eligible to enter a competition and a maximum of 9 players can be listed for the season. Players can only be on one team list for the evening. However, to avoid forfeits, an eligible player from another team may be used to bring the team total number of players for that game to 5. Permission needs to be given to allow this, contact the office 99806255 and email info@hkbaspiders.com.au as soon as the need is identified. Any late additions to the team that do not have prior permission as mentioned above will need to see the venue supervisor before playing. (A team that has 5 or more players for their game is not able to use a player from another team to fill in for that game)

If your Team has Players that are considered part of A Representative program (in a Team or training with an HKBA Spiders Team or any other NSW Association) this may change the grade competition that you can enter:
When a team is playing in their school grade/year the maximum number of rep players is 2 e.g a team of grade 4 players has entered the grade 4 competition they have 2 rep players, this is the maximum they can have. No other rep players of any grade are allowed.
If the same team of grade 4 players has 3 Rep players they will need to move up one school grade in this case they will need to enter the grade 5 competition. No other rep players of any grade are allowed.
If the same team of grade 4 players has 4+ rep players they will need to move up 2 school grades in this case they will need to enter the grade 6 competition.
(the above scenarios apply to all age groups)
(2 Development players may be used instead of 1 rep player for example the team of grade 4 players may play with 1 rep player and 2 development players total when playing in the grade 4 competition)
When the rep players in the team are of different school grades we apply a point system with the total points allowed for a team = 6. All rep players are considered as equal for this system however we will place a team in an appropriate division taking into consideration the level of the rep players and the competition that they have entered.
A rep player playing in their school grade = 3 points
A rep player playing up one school grade = 2 points
A rep player playing up two school grades= 1 point
A development player playing in their school grade = 1.5 points
A development player playing up one school grade = 1 point
A development player playing up 2 grades is not counted in the calculation.

Rep players who are part of the BNSW State performance program (SPP) or State/National teams are considered one school grade older and can only compete in their own school grade if they are the only Rep player in that team.

When asked to select club name: select General unless your Team has been approved by the committee of one of the following clubs:
Cherrybrook Public school Club
Ku-Ring-gai Kangaroos Basketball Club
Shooting Stars Basketball Club
Thornleigh Basketball Club

In addition to entering your Team here please email your list of Player names and their singlet number along with each players school grade and whether they are a rep player to: info@hkbaspiders.com.au so that we can add to your Scoresheet. (You do not need to invite players to join your team if asked on this form) All Players must hold current Individual Player Registration to be eligible to play. Players that are added to your team after team entry must be first cleared as eligible to play, contact the office 99806255 and email info@hkbaspiders.com.au , once approved the player can be added to your list Any late additions to the team that do not have prior permission as mentioned above will need to see the venue supervisor before playing. Remember your team can not have players listed that are already playing on another team on the same evening and the maximum number of players that can be listed for the season is 9

When entering Preferred division, Div 1= highest (preferred divisions are used as a guide)
