Learn how to get started as a basketball referee!
This course is for you if you are just starting out as a basketball referee, with little or no experience of refereeing. The Level 1 Referee course is the entry point into the referee development pathway taking a referee from community basketball at association and school level through to the National Basketball League and FIBA international events.
The course consists of 16 online modules followed by a practical workshop. You can work through it at your own pace and, when you have completed all the modules, you can enrol in the next available practical workshop in your area. Following completion of this course, the practical workshop and a practical assessment on a game, you will qualify as a Level 1 Referee, which will set you up for refereeing at your local association and school level.

To complete the login process and access the course, you will need to visit Basketball New Zealand's Member Profile (www.members.nz.basketball). To login, simply use the same credentials used when creating your GameDay Passport.
