RETURNING MEMBER

Welcome to Bruins Skills and Development Program based at Birrong Boys High School. We offer skill based basketball classes for young players of all skill level range and aim to provide your child with a pathway through skill development, competition and beyond.

Our 1 hour weekly classes provide young athletes from the ages of 5-17 years with the opportunity to learn the skills and rules of basketball in a fun and friendly environment. We focus on developing our athlete’s fundamentals including dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, defence and a basic understanding of game concepts.

The classes run in accordance with school terms.

In 2026:-
Term 1: 4 February 2026 to 4 April 2026
Term 2: 4 May 2026 to 29 June 2026
Term 3: 27 July 2026 to 21 September 2026
Term 4: 19 October 2026 to 7 December 2026

Class times:

Mondays 5.00pm to 6.00pm

We look forward to seeing you child on the court, as part of our Skills & Development Program. Please ensure they wear comfortable sports shoes, their Skills & Development reversible singlet, bring a clearly labelled drink bottle and basketball.
